Tacere diversa é uma banda de metal da Finlândia. Tacere occupies Karri Knuutila, the founder of the band as their male vocalist and Helena Haaparanta as their female vocalist. Due to their line up that is arguably similar to other Finnish metal band, Nightwish they've often been compared to them in the media. Knuutila originally formed Tacere (First known as "Tacet Lacrimae") as his solo project, but expanded upon the idea to create a full sized band. In 2005 Tacere signed a recording contract with SM-Records and their first single "I devour" was released 31 May 2006 . In early 2008, Helena made the tough decision to leave the band, after recording six new demo songs with them.
